Kevin: Hi, I’m Kevin Ylvisaker!
Loann: And I am Loann Burke, we are here with Smithers-Oasis and the IDEA Channel.
K: In this episode, we are going to show you the European Bouquet Holder from Smithers-Oasis.
L: These European Bouquet Holders are really inspired by European bouquets, where they create elaborate armatures, and then create a hand-tied bouquet. This is a way to do that same look, but using a bouquet holder that has the OASIS Floral Foam MaxLife in it.
K: This is a square, obviously, and it has a nice, deep layer of MaxLife Foam, so we know the bouquets are going to hold up for a long time. Actually, the one that I am going to show you is the one I made for our Midnight Sun Palette, that you will be seeing on our other videos. Now, it’s going to hold up quite a long time, I actually made this three days ago, and this has held up just beautifully for me, as long as I used Finishing Touch afterwards on the bouquet as well. We have got some of the Mega Beads in here, to give it a little bit of a drop, but you can tell how beautiful that’s going to be for your wedding. This is something very different that we are not used to seeing, and I think this is the time that we need to move forward in our bridal work.
L: Absolutely. This bouquet hold is perfect for pavé design, which you have done here, creating those nice pavé rows of the yellow spray roses.
L: I did my bouquet in the round European Bouquet Holder. This one is designed to be a shorter version, it’s not that pavé style. What we’ve done is create a lot of depth and texture in this bouquet, but I have been able to spread out the top of the bouquet in more of a European style.
K: And one of the things Loann and I wanted to let you know is that you should tell your brides that these are heavy, they weigh considerably more than your standard bouquet holder that we carry, like the WEDDING BELLE®, because there is a lot more of the MaxLife Foam in here. They are heavier, but once you tell your bride that, let her feel the bouquet and let her see the unique style, there’s no problem with that at all.
K: One of the other benefits of these is that this can be used for the top of cylinder, or one of our square containers. You just put that on here, obviously I’d have flowers arranged down in there, now I could do a pavé design on top, something much larger on top, and again, I have got foam in there so it going to last that much longer.
L: In addition, you could provide a taller vase like this for the bride to actually set her bouquet on, more decorative, and have it as a centerpiece later on at the reception.
As Kevin mentioned, these are substantially heavier, but that is because you have such a great, flat base of the OASIS Floral Foam for the MaxLife to work with.
K: Great! Well, I am excited to use them.
L: I am too! Lots and lots of applications, not just for bouquets but for centerpieces as well.
K: Well, we hope you try these, again, they are something quite exciting from Smithers-Oasis. I’m Kevin Ylvisaker.
L: And I’m Loann Burke, and we are here for Smithers-Oasis and the IDEA Channel.
